The 24th Shiver by the River was a successful series despite the fact that it was one of the worst winters on record. December (463 finishers), January (461 finishers) & March (479 finishers) all had above average finishers for the month. In February, 345 runners crossed the line. We had 334 runners run the series, which is tied for the 2nd highest series. Our fastest runners were:

5K Male Daryl Weaver 15:49
5K Female Dee Koutsourais 18:38
10K Male Matthew Lutzca 32:53
10K Female Elizabeth Doherty 38:05
Congratulations to all who ran.

21st. Great American Clean-up, April 26 (Saturday) 9AM,  we will be meeting at Phil Lechner and Andrea Faust's residence at 1401 Walnut Street in Reading and will be picking up trash in the woods and on the trails on Mt. Penn.  We are looking for 15 to 20 volunteers who are willing to put in 2-3 hours of walking and cleaning the trails we often run on.  We may also cover  some of the roads in that area as well.  Please bring gloves and reflective clothes (for the road work), but garbage bags will be provided.  Let's get out and show the city and county how much the club cares for our environment.
