Group Runs


Wednesday Evening Training Runs

The Pacers have group training runs scheduled every Wednesday night. In the summer the format is usually trails, but road options are also available for those who prefer a smoother surface. The runs are generally one hour in length, and consist of varying levels of ability and pace. Walkers are also welcome and encouraged!  After the run, we usually gather at a neigborhood eatery. These runs start promptly at 6:15 p.m, unless otherwise noted. Each month, the club donates locally to a charitable organization.

ANYONE who wants to host a Weds night run!!!  LET Phil Lechner know ASAP--1st come 1st serve!

Most summer runs are member-hosted, please bring something to share etc.
 
August 21 Tracy Barlet's residence   21 Jeffrey Rd, Reading (Greenfields)

August 28  LOCATION CHANGE, Scottish Rite Cathedral parking lot on 7th Ave, Reading Road Run preview.  Eat at 3rd and Spruce.

Sept 4 Monocacy Hill (trails)  eat at Joanne and Pete's residence  7 Agata Drive Douglassville.  They have a pool!!!!!!
Sept 11  Brian Stoltzfus's residence  (road/trail options)  408 Arrowhead Trail Sinking Spring
Sept 18 run from Antietam Lake  (trail) eat at Lauren and John Thompson's residence 107 Gosling Ct 19606
Sept 25 Mike Whalen's residence (road/trail) 701 Pony Rd Mohrsville
 
Remember, those who host put in a lot of work in order to be prepared for many guests.  Please make it a point to attend and please bring your favorite food and beverage.  Even if you forget to bring sometime--come out anyways--there is always enough for everyone!!!!!
 
***the charity run benefiting Berks Women in Crisis will take anything that will help women and children. Clothes, toiletries, food/snacks, diapers, toys, cleaning supplies.  Anything!!!  Please give what you can--it DOES NOT have to be a new item--anything helps!!!
 
 
PLEASE NOTE: You do not have to be a member of the club to join us for a Wednesday night run. Come on out and meet us, run with us, and check out all that we have to offer. If you would like more information about the Wednesday Night Run, or if you need directions, email Phil Lechner.

Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month @7:00 pm.  All are welcome

Our Mission

The Pagoda Pacers Athletic Club promotes physical fitness and public wellness. We conduct athletic activities in our community, organize competitions, social gatherings, and educate the public on physical fitness and wellness. We promote participation in the sports of running, cycling, duathlons, & triathlons. We also encourage members to be more than just athletes by conducting a variety of social and civic activities in the Reading, Pennsylvania area.
